Samraong (Khmer: សំរោង) is the capital of Oddar Meancheay Province, Cambodia. It lies within Samraong District. However, as it means "impenetrable jungle", there are several phums named Samraong, e.g. in Siem Reap Province.[1]
Some 30 km north of Samraong there is the border gate of O Smach with Thailand.[2]
