Sanchong City (traditional Chinese: 三重市; pinyin: Sānchóng Shì; Postal map spelling: Sanchung Shih; Taiwanese: Sam-tiông Chhī; Taiwanese colloquial: 三重埔 Saⁿ-tēng-po·) is a city in the western part of Taipei County, Taiwan. The surrounding county is due to become a city in its own right in 2009. The new special municipality will be known as New Taipei. [1]
