Biography

American pianist Sarah Cahill performs both classical and modern composed music across the U.S. Various avant-garde composers have dedicated piano works to her, including Larry Polansky's "Casten Variation" (1994), "Blue" Gene Tyranny's "Spirit" (1996) and John Adams' 1977 work "China Gates." Cahill has also premiered works by other composers such as Terry Riley, Carl Stone, Lou Harrison and Chen Yi. ~ Joslyn Layne, All Music Guide
