Satellite campus

Wikipedia: Satellite campus

A satellite campus is a campus of a college or university that is physically detached from the main university or college area, and is often smaller than the main campus of an institution. Because a satellite campus is more likely to be used for adult education or continuing education, most students tend to be commuters. For these same reasons, the campus architecture and layout is also more likely to resemble an office building or office park than a traditional college or university setting, and satellite campuses rarely feature residence halls.
