(meteorology) Moist air in a state of equilibrium with a plane surface of pure water or ice at the same temperature and pressure; that is, air whose vapor pressure is the saturation vapor pressure and whose relative humidity is 100.

Air containing the maximum amount of water vapor possible at a given temperature; the partial pressure of the water vapor is equal to the vapor pressure of water at the same temperature.
