Sinister may not be the most extreme practitioners of death metal, but they play it well and keep it pure, never trying to dilute the formula with melody or any other concessions to commercialism. And while frontwoman Rachel Heyzer isn't the only female death metal vocalist on the scene, her larynx-shredding bellow is one of the most formidable around (male or female). Savage or Grace, the Dutch quartet's seventh offering, is a testament to the band's unwavering intensity.
