Plot

The cities of Thailand are featured in Savoring the World: Thailand - Land of Smiles and include Chiang Mai, second largest city in the country, and the old capital Ayutthaya. Less chaotic and crowded than Bangkok, Chiang Mai is home to the highest mountain peak in Thailand. The traveler can embark on visits to the hill tribes where the routines of traditional family life can be seen. Ayutthaya contains many ruins of its past glory, which included a flourishing trade with European and Asian merchants. It was home to 33 Siamese kings before being overthrown by the Burmese. ~ Alice Day, All Movie Guide
