‘Schöne Fremde’, a short poem by J. von Eichendorff, expressing longing and spell-bound expectation. Its first line runs ‘Es rauschen die Wipfel und schauern’ and it occurs (untitled) in Eichendorff's novel Dichter und ihre Gesellen. It has been set to music by R. Schumann.
