Schematic Records is an electronic music record label. It was founded by Joshua Kay and Romulo del Castillo, who originally recorded under the name Soul Oddity, making music in Miami's rave scene. A dispute with their first label, Astralwerks, inspired a change in name, to Phoenecia, and in their sound. They participated in the Intelligent Dance Music (IDM) movement with an inventive, chirpy, blip-and-bass style.
Schematic's releases often feature striking covers by designers such as The Designers Republic, Friends With You, Graphic Havok and Keep Adding.
