SCIF

 

(Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) A Department of Defense (DOD) term for a secure room or datacenter that foils electronic surveillance and suppresses data leakage. An SCIF includes the use of passive methods such as a room enclosed in a tightly sealed metal shield (Faraday cage) and active methods (jamming).
