Scott Draves is the inventor of Fractal Flames[1] and the leader of the distributed computing project Electric Sheep [2][3]. He also invented patch-based texture synthesis and published the first implementation of this class of algorithms. He is also a video artist[4][5] and accomplished VJ[6]. Known as "Spot,"[7] Draves currently resides in San Francisco and New York City. Draves earned a Bachelor's in mathematics at Brown University before continuing on to earn a PhD in computer science at Carnegie Mellon University[8].
