Plot

On tonight's SCTV Movie of the Week, a fearless American pilot (played by John Candy) outwits the Japanese -- as represented by Lin Ye Tang (Dave Thomas) -- in "Fighting Air Dogs Over the Pacific." Elsewhere on the dial, anchorman Earl Camembert (Eugene Levy) is clearly higher than a kite during "SCTV News." In addition, we are offered tantalizing promos for the upcoming "Masterpiece Theater" presentations: "The Lincoln-Douglas Debates," "Mohicans Galore," and "Cretin's Island" (with the skipper, the professor, the millionaire, and his wife). And as a bonus: a commercial for Amoco Toys' latest action figure, "Mike's Mercenaries." ~ All Movie Guide
