Seaport Capital is a New York City-based private equity firm that invests in media, communications & business and information services companies. Most of the properties they own are concentrated in medium and small markets, ranging from television stations to cable operators, as well as telecommunications and outdoor advertising.

The firm manages approximately $400 million of investor commitments and its investors have included large pension funds including CalPERS.

The firm was founded by Bill Luby and Jim Collis, who previously worked together at Chase Capital Partners.
