, Tom (1944–), U.S. baseball player; full name George Thomas Seaver. A pitcher for the New York Mets 1966–77 and 1982–83, he won the Cy Young award in 1969, 1973, and 1975. He also pitched for the Cincinnati Reds, the Chicago White Sox, and the Boston Red Sox. Baseball Hall of Fame (1992).
