Seend Cleeve Quarry

Wikipedia: Seend Cleeve Quarry

Seend Cleeve Quarry (grid reference ST933609) is a 3.0 hectare geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Seend Cleeve, Wiltshire, England, notified in 1987.

Previously, it had been an iron ore quarry and a steel mill, with the coal being delivered via the Kennet and Avon Canal. It also had an autonomous on-site railway. None of these facilities had been preserved by now; and now the site is just a pasture.
