Juan Seguin High School is a secondary school serving grades 9-12 located in Arlington, Texas and is part of the Arlington Independent School District.[1]
Juan Seguin High School was opened in August 2002 and formally dedicated in November of that year. The school mascot is the Cougar, with the colors Carolina Blue and Black. The school is classified as a UIL Class 4A school. Because the area has been built-out for some time, and no new residential construction is planned, the school is anticipated to remain a 4A.
As of 2009[update] the Principal is Ed Farmer. The Academic Assistant Principal is Cathy Britton, and Kari Pride, Rick Humes, Glennie Simmons, Dr. Rick Evans and Arvis Vonner are Assistant Principals.[2]
Athletics
Juan Seguin actively participates in Choir, Orchestra, Band, Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Softball, Soccer, Swimming, Tennis, Track and Field, Volleyball, and Wrestling.[3]
