Seikan Tunnel Tappi Shako Line

The Seikan Tunnel Tappi Shakō Line (青函トンネル竜飛斜坑線 Seikan Tonneru Tappi Shakō-sen?, "Seikan Tunnel Tappi Inclined Passage Line") is Japanese funicular line in Sotogahama, Aomori, operated by Seikan Tunnel Museum. The line descends from the museum near Cape Tappi (竜飛崎?) into the underground station of Seikan Tunnel, the longest railway tunnel in the world. However, it is impossible to "transfer" to JR Kaikyō Line from the museum, as Tappi-Kaitei Station, JR station in the tunnel, is not an ordinary railway station, but an emergency evacuation station. Users of the funicular line have to join a guided tour, that will take them back to the departure place after a while. It is possible to use the funicular from Kaikyō Line, provided a user is on another guided tour that will take them back to Kaikyō Line after a while.
