Seiko Instruments Inc. (セイコーインスツル株式会社 Seikō Insutsuru Kabushiki-gaisha?), or SII, is a Japanese company, renowned for developing and commercializing semiconductor, micromechatronics, and precision timepiece technology. It is one of three core companies of the Seiko Group.

The company manufactures and sells electronic components (semiconductors, crystal oscillators, micromechatronics devices, thermal printer, coin battery, liquid crystal displays), precision parts, watches, analysis and measurement instruments, machine tools, printers, network items, information systems and services, IC dictionaries, etc. Headquartered in Makuhari business district, Mihama-ku, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan.

In 1937 Daini Seikosha Co., Ltd. (第二精工舎 Dai-ni-seikōsha?), literally the second workshop for manufacturing Seiko timepieces, was established in Kamedo, Kōtō, Tokyo as a spin-off of the watch manufacturing division from Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), so is also making the Seiko watches even now. The company changed its name to Seiko Instruments & Electronics Ltd. (セイコー電子工業 Seikō Denshi Kōgyō?) in 1983 and to the current name in 1997 (セイコーインスツルメンツ Seikō Insutsurumentsu in 1997; セイコーインスツル Seikō Insutsuru in 2004). Its Suwa Plant in Suwa, Nagano Prefecture spun off as Suwa Seikosha Co., Ltd. (諏訪精工舎 Suwa Seikōsha?) in 1959 is now known as Seiko Epson Corporation (セイコーエプソン Seikō Epuson?).

Seiko Holdings Corporation (SEIKO) delegates a large portion of the manufacturing in its watch business to SII and EPSON. Most of watches manufactured by SII are sold through the Seiko Watch Corporation, a subsidiary of Seiko Holdings Corporation. In recent years Seiko Instruments has tried to establish its own marketing channel and brands - Sizukuishi Watch[1], appetime, J.SPRINGS, ISSEY MIYAKE, tsumori chisato, ALESSI, cacharel, etc.

On January 26, 2009, Seiko Instruments and Seiko Holdings announced that the two companies will be merged on October 1, 2009 through a share swap. Seiko Instruments became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Seiko Holdings on October 1, 2009.
