SembCorp Marine can shape up and ship out. The company is a global marine engineering group specializing in ship repair, ship conversion, the building of new ships, and offshore engineering. At shipyards in Brazil, China, Indonesia, Singapore, and the US, SembCorp Marine constructs, converts, and repairs a variety of ocean-going craft, ranging from smaller barges and ferries to larger passenger and cruise ships, and extra large tankers and naval vessels. The company owns a 30% stake in COSCO Shipyard Group and acquired Sabine Shipyard in Texas through subsidiary PPL Shipyard in 2005.
