Semiological or Semiotic School

Architecture and Landscaping: Semiological or Semiotic School

Semiotics (the science of signs and the study of how signs work) has been perceived as of major significance in architecture, for the built environment may be seen as a communicating system of signs and symbols. It was influenced by Semper.
