BACKGROUND PERSONALITY: With a hatred of life that exceeds any other, Sephiroth does not care much for others in his quest to become a godlike being. He will do anything to achieve his goal and destroy anything or anyone in his path. Despite his confident exterior, he can be just as confused and misled as any other person, though he would never admit it.ORIGIN: Sephiroth's past is one of great mystery. After entering Shinra to become a top-ranking officer, he disappeared during a battle and was never seen again. Many years later, strange reports of a man in black with silver hair began popping up and, before you knew it, Sephiroth was once again back in action - even more powerful (and mysterious) than before, able to disappear and reappear at will.
It turns out that the real Sephiroth was frozen in some strange Materia-like ice and has been mentally projecting himself unto the world. He used Cloud Strife to deliver the black Materia to his icy tomb, freeing him as a result. Now free and more powerful, Sephiroth unleashed his ruthless plans to become the omnipotent ruler of the galaxy.
