tr.v., -trat·ed, -trat·ing, -trates.
  1. Chiefly British. To seize; confiscate: "The sheriffs ... will be able to seize stock and other assets, and to sequestrate bank accounts belonging to defaulters" (Daily Telegraph).
  2. To seclude; sequester.
