Shamsi Vuai Nahodha (born 28 October 1961[1]) has been Chief Minister of Zanzibar since 15 November 2000. On November 9, 2005, he was reappointed Chief Minister be the newly elected President Amani Abeid Karume.[2] He is a member of the ruling party, Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM).
