Review
With artwork resembling a Camden market bootleg and a philosophy to match, Shapeshifter grated with self-importance, but it was also very danceable and approached the Goa optimism of Israel's Infected Mushroom from increasingly interesting angles. "Echoes in Eternity" was a propulsive fusion of psychedelic techno and Russell Crowe's speech from Gladiator, while "Live and Let Live" was nearly claustrophobic in its tight energy rhythms. For all intents and purposes, Space Tribe's sixth album didn't stray far from Ollie Wisdom's usual pulsing psy-trance and gooey acid effects, but it was likable and, in all fairness, one of the few albums to come with a pyramid construction kit. ~ Dean Carlson, All Music GuideTracks
