Shawnee Free Jones (born 1975) is an actress in film & television, and an advertising model. Shawnee is also the daughter of American spiritual teacher, Adi Da Samraj.
Shawnee grew up on her father's Fijian island of spiritual retreat, Naitauba. She was one of four young women in the formal order "Hridaya Da Gurukula Brahmacharini Mandala." She first left Naitauba at age 17 then "learned how to use a telephone and doorbell", according to her online diary, making the point of what a culture shock it was coming to Los Angeles from an island devoted to spiritual retreat. Nonetheless, she overcame her culture shock, pursued a budding career as an actress, and went on to obtain parts in a number of well-known films, including L.A. Confidential.
