Sheffield College is a further education (FE) college in Sheffield, England. It was formed by the merger of six FE colleges in 1993. The main centres are Castle College (in the city centre), Hillsborough College (which replaced Loxley College in Stannington, and Parson Cross College in 2005) and Norton College. Norton College also includes the Peaks Centre. Castle College is currently being rebuilt, with the planned completion in 2010, and will be renamed Sheffield City College. The Sheffield College also hosts the Online College, offering a range of online professional development and academic courses. Skills for Business is the employer facing arm of the college. In 2009, Skills For Business and the Business Development Unit, which organises Train To Gain and Apprenticeships, will come under the brokerage of Business Gateway.

Sheffield College Students' Union

Sheffield College Students' Union is an organisation representing the interests of all students at The Sheffield College. The Union's structures are based on the use of general meetings on a local and cross-college level, as well as an Executive Committee composed of a President, General Secretary, and 12 other Executive Officers.

Sheffield College Students' Union is affiliated to the National Union of Students. Kat Fletcher, President of the National Union of Students 2004 - 2006, is a former General Secretary of Sheffield College Students' Union.

Lifelong Learning Network

The Sheffield College is a partner institution of Higher Futures, the Lifelong Learning Network (LLN) for South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire.
