Shinkun Haku (白 眞勲, born December 8, 1958) is a Japanese politician of the Democratic Party of Japan, a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Shinjuku, Tokyo and graduate of Nihon University, he was elected for the first time in 2004.
He was born to South Korean father and Japanese mother. As of his birth, Japanese nationality law admitted Japanese nationality for baby of Japanese father, thus he was a Korean. This law was changed later. In 2003, he acquired Japanese nationality and lost Korean nationality[1].
