Biography

Born and raised in Inglewood, CA, Show N' Tell (real name Gerald Kelly, Jr.) had been steadily building up his rap career for well over a decade before his official solo debut, Blood, Sweat & Tears, in 2006. The underground lyricist was involved with Death Row Records and had worked with West Coast luminaries such as DJ Quik, tha Dogg Pound, and 2Pac. However, as Death Row went under in the late '90s, so did whatever opportunities he might have had to boost his recording career. Show N' Tell still remained active in the early 2000s and eventually signed to Cut Throat Entertainment. Recorded and mixed by Bay Area alum Richie Rich, his 2006 debut stood on the top R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart for several weeks, peaking at number 52. ~ Cyril Cordor, All Music Guide
