Showbiz Tonight is an American entertainment news program on CNN Headline News.
Similar to syndicated entertainment programs, such as Extra and Entertainment Tonight, the program features a number of celebrity interviews, stories about new movies and shows, but also in-depth stories about problems with celebrities, such as severe dieting for one example.
Hosts
Hosted by A.J. Hammer, the program was also hosted by Karyn Bryant when it originally aired on February 20, 2005. During the duration of the program, hosting changed with Bryant leaving the show at the end of 2005 and Hammer taking on primary hosting duties. Currently, the program is regularly (but unofficially) co-hosted by Brooke Anderson, and entertainment news headlines are covered by Sibila Vargas.
Showbiz Today
The program is a revival of Showbiz Today[1][2], an earlier program that ran from 1984 until September 10, 2001 on the main CNN network. The show's hosts broadcasted live from both New York and Los Angeles. Previous hosts and reporters on Showbiz Today include:
