ShowClix

Wikipedia: ShowClix

ShowClix is a Pittsburgh-based, full-service ticketing company that provides web-based solutions to event organizers, promoters and venue managers across the United States. The company provides its clients, which include non-profit organizations, performing arts centers, nightclubs, live music venues, and colleges and universities, with an easy, affordable way to sell event tickets online, over the telephone or in-person through a point-of-sale/box office system.

History

ShowClix started business in the United States in March 2007 [1] and then opened in Canada in July 2007 [2].

In February 2009, ShowClix launched the Fair Ticketing Fund [3], a multi-million dollar fund that will distribute money to venues and event promoters who want to operate independent of the company being created through the Ticketmaster/Live Nation merger. Through the Fair Ticketing Fund, ShowClix will provide each participating venue or event promoter with tens of thousands of dollars in funding; a completely customizable, robust ticketing solution at no cost; and a significant reduction in service fees for their ticket buyers.
