Shrapnel Games offers more than mindless shoot-em-up. The company designs and publishes computer strategy and war games featuring titles from a variety of historical and fictional settings. Shrapnel's titles include Air Command, Armored Task Force, Desert Rats, Land of Legends, and Horse & Musket. Shrapnel Games has also expanded its product portfolio to include board and role-playing games. The company was founded in 1999 by president Tim Brooks to fill the hole created as more mainstream gaming companies shifted away from strategy games and toward pretty action oriented content.
