Shudehill Interchange, known locally as just Shudehill, is a transport interchange located between Victoria Station and the Northern Quarter in Manchester. It comprises a Manchester Metrolink station and a bus station.

Bus Station

The bus station replaced the former Cannon Street Bus Station which was under the nearby Arndale shopping centre which since the redevelopment of the centre has disappered along with Cannon Street itself. It also has a brand new car park which, when viewed from the top deck, allows sweeping views across large parts of the City.

The majority of buses from Shudehill are operated by First Manchester with the remainder of services run by Arriva North West, Bluebird, Bu-Val, JP Travel, Maytree Travel and Stagecoach North West.

There are frequent buses to destinations in the north and west of Greater Manchester, including Bolton, Bury, Eccles, Middleton, Rochdale, Salford and Trafford Centre. Buses also run to Altrincham, Blackpool, Leigh, Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Oldham, Preston and Warrington. The bus station is also served by night buses, due to its location near The Printworks and the Metroshuttle number 2 zero-fare bus route[1] .

In April 2009, the stopping place and terminus for Megabus services moved from outside the Chorlton Street Coach Station to the interchange, joining Terravision's A40 service to Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Stagecoach North West's X61 to Preston and Blackpool, both of which use coaches for its services.
