Shulamite

Bible Guide: Shulamite

A title appearing only once in the Bible (Song 6:13). It is usually interpreted as a variant form of "Shunammite" (q.v.) i.e., a woman from the town of Shunem. Some scholars, however, interpret it as the feminine form of Solomon (in Hebrew, shelomo).
