Biography

Formed in early 2005, Winnipeg, Manitoba's Sick City skipped a lot of the usual new-band grunt work and went straight to the (semi) big time -- almost immediately landing slots opening for such acts as Papa Roach, It Dies Today, Bedlight for Blue Eyes, and From Autumn to Ashes, as well as touring with the Taste of Chaos and Warped package shows. Their five-song EP, Where Do We Go from Here, offered up a promising start and caught the ear of Canadian label Smallman Records, which signed them up for the Great White North, with Trustkill handling releases for the rest of the planet. For their first full-length, Josh Youngson (vocals), Joel Neufeld (drums), Dorian Paszkowski (guitar), Dave Grabowski (guitar), and T.J Stevenson (bass) entered Atlanta's Tree Sound Studios and recorded under the watchful eyes of veteran scene producers Kenneth Mount and Zack Odom. The resulting 12-track album, Nightlife, was issued in 2007. ~ J. Scott McClintock, All Music Guide

Sick City formed in early 2005 with Josh Youngson (vocals), Joel Neufeld (drums), Dorian Paszkowski (guitar), Dave Grabowski (guitar) and T.J Stevenson (bass). Neufeld, who is the brother of Comeback Kid front-man Andrew Neufeld, secured the band their first show ever playing the CD release show for Comeback Kid’s “Wake The Dead.” Sick City has played on Taste of Chaos and Warped Tour, headlined a WCMA showcase, and just returned home from tour with It Dies Today (Trustkill Records), and headliners Papa Roach. In 2007, Sick City signed to Smallman Records for Canada and Trustkill Records internationally for the release of their full length album, Nightlife. Nightlife was recorded in Tree Sound Studios in Atlanta, GA during March 2007. Producers Kenneth Mount & Zach Odom (Cartel, Jimmy Eat World) helped create the album.
