The Siemens S55 was one of the first true colour phones, by having a 256 colour screen. Its contemporary, at its release in late 2002, was the Ericsson T68, with similar comprehensive features, such as Bluetooth and infrared.
It was a high end business and leisure phone at the time, eventually becoming superseded by phones with improved screen clarity, increased colours and pixels, such as 4096, then 65K screens.
