Every race has to have an underdog, and Silver Neelsen is usually the guy for the job. He's raced in more heats than any other pilot around -- but has yet to win a single one! Neelsen has never missed a race and always gives it his best. Though his dedication has earned him a strong fan base, Neelsen's stubborn disregard of the newer F-Zero technology means that quite a bit of experience is necessary in order to master his vehicle. That's what he says, claiming that his "experience, refined piloting skill and patience" will pay off some day when he finally wins a race.The gambling bookies have made fortunes off of spectators betting that Neelsen's time has finally come. So far, however, it doesn't look like any time soon. While many believe he's only around for the crowds, Neelsen possesses a veritable cornucopia of racing knowledge and insight. Just buy him a few drinks and you'd be surprised at how much he has to tell you.
ABOUT HIS MACHINE IN F-ZERO X
Very wide and sleek, Night Thunder is an adequate machine with great boost, a powerful frame and extremely low grip. Slipping and sliding require Neelsen to take it very slow around the corners, but he has sufficient power to fend off many racers in the straight-aways.
