Simon, Saint ('mən), in the New Testament, one of the Twelve Apostles. In the Gospels he is called the Canaanite or Cananaean or Zelotes, synonymous terms referring probably to association with the sect of Zealots. Feast (with St. Jude): Oct. 28.
