| Wikipedia: Sister-in-law |
A sister-in-law is the sister of one's spouse. The wife of one's sibling and the wife of one's spouse's sibling are also considered a sister-in-law.[1][2] The plural of this term is "sisters-in-law".
Example: Rob and Neil are brothers. Gwyneth is Rob's wife. Claire is Neil's wife. Therefore, Gwyneth is Neil's sister-in-law, Claire is Rob's sister-in-law and Gwyneth and Claire are not sisters-in-law to one another.
