Skeletoid
Skeletoids are the same size as an Anthropod in the computer game X-COM: Apocalypse but a lot more durable. They are considered an intermediate threat and can carry the same equipment compliment as Anthropods. Their bodies are dark yellow and have holes reminencent of a skeleton, hence the name. Their hands are composed of 2 claws that look like a pair of garden clippers. They are slightly faster than the Anthropods and are usually found in their company.
Their bodies, however, can take a lot more punishment than any other humanoid sized alien. They also have a better developed brain making psychic possession harder, but not impossible. After you defeat most of the UFOs bearing Anthropods and Spitters the Skeletoids begin showing up. After the destroyer class UFOs they become the primary humanoid alien type to show up on the UFOs.
