Biography

Ska-punk band the Skolars formed in 1993 and released the debut 10 Songs & Then Some on Jump Up in 1996. The band members -- Mark Penxa, John Reynolds, Matt Van, Derek Grant, Steve Kachnowski, Chris Brock, and Jef Sanguis -- decided to change the band name to Telegraph that same year. Telegraph went on to record an EP, Quit Your Band (1998), and the full-length Switched On (2000) for the same label. ~ Joslyn Layne, All Music Guide
