Biography

A founding member of the Oldominion crew, Sleep was born and raised in Farmington, NM, and by age nine he was writing and performing his own rhymes, sometimes with childhood friend and later crew mate Onry Ozzborn. In the early '90s Sleep made his way up to the Pacific Northwest, and his debut solo album, Riot by Candlelight, and Oldominion's One, were both released in 2002, followed the next year by Boss Hogs, the first record by the Chicharones, his group with Josh Martinez. Known for his quick flow, Sleep stayed busy with the ever-expanding Oldominion, having a hand in numerous crew projects as well issuing his follow-up record, Christopher (his birth name), on Up Above in 2005. ~ Marisa Brown, All Music Guide
