Smash Hits

(radio)

Smash Hits Radio! is a UK based digital radio station owned and operated by EMAP. It is also available on Freeview channel 712 and Sky channel 0171. The format is loosely based on the now defunct Smash Hits Magazine. The station opened in 2002 and continues to play a 'non-stop' music format without presenters or DJs.

It was recently removed from DAB radio in several places during the introduction of Traffic Radio and is rumoured to be removed from the other local DAB multiplexes shortly. This is rumoured to be because it is to replace the radio station Core on the Digital One DAB Multiplex.
