The Society for Humanistic Judaism, founded in 1963 by Rabbi Sherwin Wine, promotes a human-centered philosophy that celebrates traditional Jewish culture, but combines it with humanist, non-theistic values.
Humanistic Judaism celebrate Jewish holidays and life-cycle events with ceremonies that draw on, but also go beyond, traditional Jewish literature.
