This is the best of four carnival/Christmas medleys put out in the early 80s by Kassav' founder and Guadeloupian Pierre-Edouard Decimus, utilizing the same core of musicians used on the early Kassav' records. The unsophisticated use of programmed drum machine kills the joy of most of these discs, but the superb songs on Vacances cannot be beaten down.
