Review

Deborah Van Dyke and Valerie Farnsworth record some of the strongest psychoactive music -- ever -- as Crystal Voices. Sounds of Light is the perfect sound healing vehicle. Van Dyke and Farnsworth are on a plane that few can approach. They achieved that level via these harmonic sound currents. They have dedicated themselves to bringing others to that level. Years ago, Kurt Vonnegut wrote a short story about a machine that placed everyone within earshot into a deep trance from which power failure was the only escape. While this CD is not quite inescapable, it can induce trances and deep relaxation. The music dances in the brain and fosters meditation and healing. This unique effort will appeal to fans of Klaus Wiese, Robert Rich, Jim Cole, Life in Balance, and Jonathan Goldman. ~ Jim Brenholts, All Music Guide
