The Southern Football League Division One Midlands is a football league covering the central and southern parts of the Midlands and some of East Anglia. Created for the 2006-07 season, it is at step 4 of the National League System, and the 8th tier overall in the English football league system.

At the end of each season, two clubs are promoted to step 3 of the National League System, either the Southern Football League Premier Division or possibly the Northern Premier League Premier Division, depending on their location. The champions are guaranteed automatic promotion, together with the winners of a four team playoff between the 2nd to 5th placed teams. The bottom 2 clubs are subject to relegation to one of several step 5 leagues.

The other divisions at the same level are the Southern Football League Division One South & West, Northern Premier League Division One North and Division One South and the Isthmian League Division One North and Division One South.
