Saipem doesn't mind being in deep water or in a lonely desert. The Milan-based company provides drilling and construction services to oil and gas companies worldwide. It is organized into three business units: Offshore, Onshore, and Drilling. Saipem has thee major drilling vessels, 10 offshore rigs, and a construction fleet of about 40 units. To help oil and gas companies with field development, the company installs fixed platforms and floating production systems. In addition to oil and gas drilling, Saipem is a leader in providing engineering, procurement, project management and construction services with a bias toward large scale offshore and onshore projects. Saipem is 43%-owned by Italian energy giant Eni.
