Spiritual Hierarchy

Wikipedia: Spiritual Hierarchy

Spiritual Hierarchy is a term used often in Theosophy, Neo-Theosophy, and the Ascended Master Teachings. It represents the concept of a group of self-realised Masters of Wisdom, and their disciples, invisibly helping humanity from behind the scenes on the higher spiritual planes (although they are now allegedly planning to making their existence more known on the physical plane). According to the Ascended Master Teachings, Maitreya, formerly considered to be the World Teacher, now holds the "Office" of "Planetary Buddha" and "Cosmic Christ", while the head of the Spiritual Hierarchy for the Earth is the Lord of the World, an "Office" currently held by Gautama Buddha.

Other terms used for this idea include the Great White Brotherhood, Ascended Masters, Society of Illumined Minds, Planetary Center of Love-Wisdom, The Kingdom of God, the Spiritual Kingdom or the Kingdom of Souls. The Hierarchy is "... made up of the Masters and Initiates of all degrees and whose purpose is to implement the Plan of God." [1]
