Background
St. Francis Xavier High School opened in 1997 after just a few months of planning. It opened just months after the announced closing of Sumter Catholic High School in 1997. [1]

St.Francis Xaiver High School has 40 students. Many may think that the numbers matter, in reality it doesnt. The smaller the classes are the more the more attention the kids have. This High School is a college prep school which offers many classes. Every child plays a sport and when they start out they all play on Varisty. St.Francis Xavier also offers religion classes.
