St Patrick's Street (Sráid Naomh Pádraig in Irish), affectionately called Pana by Corkonians, is the main shopping street in Cork, Ireland. Since its redevelopment in 2004, it has twice won the award as Ireland's best shopping street.[1]
The street itself runs in a curve from Saint Patrick's Quay to Daunt Square, where it meets Grand Parade. Saint Patrick's Street gets its curved shape because it is built over an arm of the River Lee.[2] It is home to a number of notable retail outlets such as Debenhams (formerly known as Roches Stores), Penneys, Dunnes Stores and Brown Thomas.
